Youth Programs
From kindergarten to high school we encourage youth to enjoy and learn life’s benefits of golf. The Country Club of Green Valley supports the national First Tee program with both instruction and practice at the club. The program is in conjunction with the First Tee of Tucson. Sessions for beginning and intermediate junior golfers are offered through the year. Coaches are volunteers who have formal training through the First Tee Organization.
We are also proud to host the Sahuarita Girls’ and Boys’ High School Golf teams. CCGV serves as their home-course for practice and home match play competitions.
CCGV also supports local charitable organizations by allowing the use of the course and other facilities for fundraising tournaments and activities.
CCGV Director of Instruction, Marvol Barnard created and runs the Green Valley / Sahuarita chapter of LPGA – USGA Girls Golf. This is a program that provides girls with the opportunity to learn to play golf, build lasting friendships, and experience golf in a fun, girl-friendly environment while teaching values that are inherent to the game and CCGV is proud to host and fully support our local Girls Golf chapter.
Marvol is a Class A member of the LPGA and the PGA of America. She is the current National President of the LPGA Professionals and was elected to her second three-year term in 2022.
